Azawakh vs Coton de Tulear

The Azawakh is an ancient Sahel sighthound: tall, ultra-lean and fast, bred by Tuareg nomads for guarding and hunting. Loyal and gentle with family but aloof with strangers, it needs secure fencing, ample daily exercise, a soft warm bed, and protection from cold due to its thin, short coat.

Small, sturdy companion from Madagascar, the Coton de Tulear has a long, white, cotton‑soft coat needing regular grooming. Cheerful, sensitive and very people focused, it bonds closely, suits apartments, needs moderate exercise and kind training, and is generally long lived but prone to some joint, eye and skin issues.
