As a breeder on Get a Pet, you can apply for complimentary litter insurance through our insurance partner Trygg-Hansa. The insurance is free of charge and can be requested when you create your listing. The purpose is to provide a safer and more transparent sales process for both breeders and buyers.

Litter insurance is coverage that applies to puppies or kittens while they are still in the care of the breeder. It offers essential protection against unexpected illnesses or injuries and helps ensure that every animal gets the best possible start in life.

All breeders listing puppies or kittens on Get a Pet can apply for litter insurance at no cost. The application is submitted when creating the listing and is typically processed within 24 hours. The insurance becomes active once the application has been approved.
