Glitrevarden driver oppdrett av golden retriever i Erdal på Askøy, like utenfor Bergen. Kennelen ble etablert i 2015, og det første kullet ble født vinteren 2017. Glitrevarden står på Norsk Retrieverklubbs oppdretterliste for golden retriever i Vestland. Avlshundene undersøkes for arvelige tilstander, øyelyses og røntges for hofteleddsdysplasi (HD) og albueleddsdysplasi (AD). I 2023 bidro kennelen med premier til beste hannhund og tispe i unghundklassen ved Norsk Retrieverklubb Bergen og omegns utstilling. I 2022 fikk Glitrevarden sin første norske utstillingschampion.
