I Rune Rasmussens kennel Gofotens driver vi oppdrett av korthåret dachshund i Helle. En hund vi har oppdrettet, ble i 2024 tatt ut til NM i drev. Den var da norsk jaktchampion i drev og norsk blodsporchampion, og oppnådde første premie under mesterskapet. Samme år tok en hund fra oppdrettet vårt tredjeplass i den norsk-svenske Grensekampen. Vi tok også tredjeplass med en korthåret dachshund på Telemark Dachshundklubbs ordinære sporprøve høsten 2019. Under NM i drev i Telemark i 2022 bidro vi i rollen som kjentmann.

Dachshund: bold, long‑backed, short‑legged hunting dog, originally bred for badger and rabbit. Comes in smooth, long and wire coats, standard and miniature sizes. Loyal, scent‑driven, independent and vocal. Needs regular but careful exercise and weight control to protect its spine.
