Vi er Mioamor og driver oppdrett av podengo portuguese liten i Heggedal. Vår historie med rasen går tilbake til juni 2010, da vårt første podengokull ble født. Vi er registrert hos NKK som oppdrettere av den lille, glatthårede varianten. Vi arbeider aktivt med podengoene våre innen lure coursing og deltar også på hundeutstillinger. Hunder fra oppdrettet vårt har oppnådd nordisk lure coursing-championat, nordisk utstillingschampionat og nasjonale utstillings- og lure coursing-titler i Norge, Sverige og Danmark. Vi formidler også informasjon om rasens bruksområder og aktuelle helsetemaer, blant annet DNA-testing, patellaluksasjon og CECS. I februar 2020 fikk vi vårt første labradorkull, og vi har derfor også oppdrettserfaring med labrador retriever.

Smallest of the Portuguese Podengos, the Pequeno is a compact, athletic rabbit hunter with smooth or wire coat. Alert, loyal and affectionate with family, it’s reserved with strangers and a keen watchdog. Needs daily exercise, mental stimulation, positive training and basic grooming.
