The Schillerstövare is a Swedish black‑and‑tan scenthound, medium‑large, athletic and rectangular in build. Bred to hunt fox and hare, it is independent, energetic and vocal outdoors but calm and affectionate at home. It needs plenty of exercise, training and mental stimulation.
Om Shiba Inu
Ancient Japanese spitz-type hunting dog, small yet muscular with foxlike face, curled tail and plush double coat in red, black and tan or sesame with urajiro. Independent, catlike, loyal but reserved, strong-willed, high prey drive, needs early socialisation, firm positive training and regular exercise.
