Caucasian Shepherd Dog vs Papillon

Large, powerful livestock guardian from the Caucasus, bred to protect flocks and property. Big, heavily coated, weatherproof dog, deeply loyal to its family but wary and territorial with strangers. Independent, strong‑willed, needs experienced handling, early training, space and secure fencing.

The Papillon is a small, elegant toy dog with large butterfly-like ears, a fine, silky parti-coloured coat and a plumed tail. Lively, intelligent and highly trainable, it enjoys activity and mental stimulation, makes an alert watchdog, needs regular brushing, and often lives into the mid–late teens.
